They are correct, PCIE Vid card, look at the pipelines it has, better the faster etc. Sort newegg for your pricerange and try to up you power source, you should be golden. What you are running is actually better than another machine I have and I can run 2142 on it just fine...but it has a better card that what uyou have onboard. Any of the Radeon HD cards can do just what you want.

I generally look at Tom's Hardware's "Best Graphics Cards for the Money" article as a first glance. They put one out each month, here's December's: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...5970,2491.html.

That should narrow your search down considerably, based on your budget.

Victor Olin had a good point though, you'll likely need a bigger power supply. I'd take that $200, set aside $50 for a decent 600+ watt power supply and put $150 towards your graphics card. That price range is generally the best bang for your buck.

I fully agree about upgrading your power supply, and purchasing a midrange graphics card. By the time you need to upgrade, the hardware will be much faster based on Moore's Law.

Not to mention the price for good video cards has dropped DRAMATICALLY over the last couple of years...

But yes, definitely get a better PSU, then get yourself a decent card with the leftover money. Last I looked, you've got plenty of pretty decent options for $150 or less on Newegg! :9
