Need help, PR + Steam = unhappy game

I am getting a message that says disallowed program/driver?

wtf?

I've been playing on my own local server while waiting for a spot on TTP get the spot after an hour and a half and get the boot

According to my research (Imisnew)

=AONO= Imisnew2: disable steam overlay
=AONO= Imisnew2: it make it so shift+tab does not work
=AONO= Imisnew2: but everything else is same

Go into your steam settings, click on the "In-game" tab, and uncheck "Enable Steam Community In Game".

That fixed it for me.

He owns BF2 on Steam and Steam has to be running to be able to play BF2 :P

You can turn it off in BF2/PR only if you start the game, then go to settings and turn off the overlay (via Shift+Tab). Or at least I think so... just stopped launching mine via steam since I bought it at a store.

mhmmm, I've got to toggle it every time I go to another game

but not that big a deal. I was able to play for like 6hrs last night. Keep the server rockin' till restart. Hopefully I can get in on a game again tonight.
