Thread: BF2142: 2142 & Vonage??

Does anyone else have Vonage and try to play 2142 at the same time?

I got dropped 5x in one round last night before I gave up. I am house sitting and they have ATT/SBC for DSL. My pings were about 26 or so and I was the only one being dropped from the game. However, the place I am house sitting also has Vonage for their phone service, so I'm wondering if perhaps the VoIP thing is jacking with the communications in 2142?? I can play L4D1 and D2 with no issues, but 2142 won't allow me to play.

Ideas??

looks like you have to port forward. They both use the same port.

I wonder if the disconnects coincide with incoming phone calls? My friends are in INdia, it would have been a logical time for them to call.

I wonder if mail order friends is cheaper. My mom pays $5 a month for me to have friends. I get a list of names on a single sheet of a paper from the other people whose mom pays the $5 a month and I get to circle all the names I want to.
