Problems, need help

Trying to install all updates and get playing again...here is what I got..

1.4 patch) I installed the patch, but game still says like 0.2 or whatever at the bottom...

1.5 Patch) I used file planet to download this and it saved it as a .dlmpartial file...I dont know how to open it and install it.

Nickname) I dont want my nickname anymore, and I have tried about every version of Kraker Jak i could think of, and they all say "uniqueid already in use"

Help me

You could throw some underscores in there. I had to resort to "x_rocklobster_x" (without the quotes of course). Or maybe throw an extra k at the end of your name "KrakerJakk"

What version do you have? CD(3 discs),DVD or Steam?

If it's the CD version:

1.41 > 1.5 > The latest PR (if that is where you are trying to go)

If it's the DVD version:

Install BF2....when it asks you if you would like to re-start now....say NO. It will then install the rest (SF,EF,and the 1.41) after a pause. Just let it roll...
Then you will need to install the 1.5 patch (try getting the 1.5 here ).

If it is the Steam version,you shouldn't have to do anything....

This doesnt solve the fact that 1.4 isnt installing....but iam downloading from that site now for the 1.5 patch...fileplanet needs to be shot...

Could be worse - could be just 2 helps and 2 views.

At least you know ppl are looking. Maybe they just can't help. Would it help if you got 40 "sorry I can't help you" replies?

Just to be clear......make sure the first patch you put in is the 1.41

I have done the file planet downloads and have been very happy with the software.

Now....You need to delete all BF2 content and start from scratch... you cannot do this as a partial install.

Use the BF2 and install the whole game...which should get you to 1.41. Restart then
Next.....install the patch 1.5

Next...run the game...register...get you name etc....once you have got BF2 to run with no problem
then you can install the new .9 PR

Use the same name that you used with BF2...At first it cant be different...at least that was my experience.

This worked for me...and should work for you.
