Re: So far so good?
So far so good. As a devout fan of Battlefield series as well as the CoD series I can definitely say that they are extremely different. I think people keep comparing it to CoD because the areas/zones are so much MUCH smaller. Because of this there seems to be much less reliance on vehicles and much more combat in general.
I agree that removing the commander took out a lot of the depth but then again it really did suck to be loosing a BF2 match because their commander is supporting a tank squad very well while your commander has his thumb up his ass (or worse, isn't there).
I feel like the actual flow of the rounds is extremely akin to TF2 rather than CoD (in the demo at least). There is a clear defense and offense. Offense has a limited amount of time to attain victory and there are several points to push. I think of the vehicles as all of the push mechanics (Think UBER). If your medic fails at an uber its almost the same feeling as watching a fresh tank run over some anti-tank mines. The game play itself is completely different. Although I still think that the flow and the feel, the countermeasures for everything and the general clutch breaks feel very much like TF2
