BC2 Tips!

I tried repairing during flight as well. I experienced the same thing. I didn't get any repair points so my bet is that it damages it.

I noticed in the beta that if you steal the enemy's vehicles that for some unknown period after, it's still considered a hostile vehicle if no one is in the vehicle. I stole a Bradley from the 3rd base and drove it back to our spawn at the 2nd base and tried repairing it and it did damage. However if I was sitting in it, an engy in my squad could repair it. Weird stuff.

Yup, enemy vehicles somehow remain enemies.
Learned the hard way after I stole an injured tank, tried to repair it, and kaboom.

It does eventually revert to a friendly vehicle, but it took some time.

Yea repairing in-vehicle fails. I tried using the tool while riding in the back of a ATV. Explains why we suddenly exploded

I think AT Mines are my new favorite weapon(or at least anti-tank). Love how you can shoot them and cause them to blow up. Plus people seem to be so oblivious to them. The rockets just don't pack enough punch for me. I would rather flank the vehicle, pop a few mines down around it, back up and shoot the mines causing a chain reaction. Funny when the tank crew types in chat how they were killed by an UMP

-Don't forget to look around you and use a fallen kit to help out your teammates. Ammo and patches are quick enough to be dropped while you can focus back on your own kit.
