hence what we need to do is mount a campaign on every BF3 dev news/post/EA forums etc. that they need to prioritize functional VOIP in BF3 on PC. They seem to be soliciting "what do you people like to see in BF3" now, so it's time to fire away: #1 specific VOIP functionality (strawman the details from BF2 to begin with). #2. Admin tools (either fix what is wrong with them in BC or strawman it from BF2). Everything else should be secondary; we can deal with those later, but the first two are going to be deal makers or breakers for TPG.

EA actually put a lot of thought and effort into the rcon protocol for BC2. They knew they didn't want a daemon like previous Battlefield games. There's very few features missing from Procon that are available in the BF*CC solution for BF2 and 2142. One big benefit is that we have full control over our Procon setup without any interference from EA's silly Ranked Server rules. It's hosted on our server so we can easily back up the configuration and have access to the logs directly, rather than by a TCAdmin.
