Your sound system

I am using a pair of decent JVC headphones with an X-Fi Fatality.

The sound in this game is one of the most impressive features to me next to the destructibility. The variation in the sounds a single gun makes depending on terrain and your current status (slightly deafened or severely or not at all) is impressive, collectively it sounds like the movies, and looks like it.

I had originally not realized this game was rated mature and I was surprised by the language; they worked hard on the sounds and smack-talk and it kicks ass.

Wartapes are a sound setting in the options menu.

Logitech Surround Sound Headphones. And X-Fi's crystalizer controls. Turn off game music, and I can hear the crunching sound of boots on rubble as they approach from any angle. Very helpful when in a hidey-hole waiting for a victim to run by.

I have an interesting rig, and it sounds awesome. 5.1 Genelec analog setup running through XLR to a PreSonus FireStudio which sends the signal via firewire to my PC. I do not use my sound cards.

I am a sound designer in the game industry, thus the studio setup, new to TTP and looking forward to writing audio reviews for y'all!

Im using Xfi fatality champion with Logitech 5.1 speakers,but when I need headphones I use my Sennheiser's...cant remember the model number...but only headphones ill buy.
