Weapon Ranks and Unlocking

Does the overall score for the round add up to a specific kits unlocks...

Let say I that i would get 2- 3 gold stars and a badge next round.....(24 hour play, Knife gold star, grenade gold star, other random bonus) Would the points be dedicated to the specific kit i use that round?

Gold star req.... it seems as though they differ between weapons, what is the general classification of these? Is it for every 50 kills every 100 kills?
Where is the variable between the 50kill and 100 kill gold stars?

Points from awards just add to your total score not to specific kits.

For pistols and gadgets it's 50 kills per gold star and for main guns it's 100 kill per gold star.

stats page must be fubar

it shows i have 80 something kills with the ump and i have a gold star for it

Which stats page are you looking at? The in-game stats or the BC2 external site stats?

The in-game one should be the most accurate, however it can be glitchy as it seems EA has been having issues. Like yesterday after I finished a round and was going to take a break it said I was Rank 1 when I was clearly not. I logged out and logged back in and it said I was Rank 22 like I should be.

EA should be accurate but I know I've had some issues there too where not everything was loading or updating properly. One of the many issues with the game currently unfortunately.
