Can issues be related?
Just thought it might be a good idea to post anything of relevent coincidence concerning intermitent problems.
Like VOIP, squad orders, or what have you. Maybe there is some connection between issues?
Last night Voip seemed to be working with a 3 man squad (At least for the 15 min or so after I joined). When a fourth joined, I was unable to understand anything further on VOIP. Everything I heard was garbled.
I also noticed that squad objectives were broken during the same time period.
I know jack all about software, coding, deving, networks or math, so if this idea is completely off base, by all means lock it and forget it............Just seemed strange when I got to thinking about it.

Re: Can issues be related?
I don't know what else to say. I, myself, have given everyone the tools to try and make a difference.... to be the voice but no one did anything.
Everyone is aware of all the issues and the more problems we find or face the likely chance that it will not be hosted at TTP. The game is already walking a thin line for lack of better words. I'm not sure about threads that keep getting started about every issue with the game. Almost 1/2 of the threads here are about 'problems' or gripes.
And War, this is not directed at you in any way, more of the BC2 people in general really.
So, if you are so frustrated with this game, cant stand that VOIP doesn't work, that network coding is stuttering your game even with the highest internet speeds, anything legit beyond "The knifing system sucks" or "Nerf the _____ gun" if it holds good ground and merit post in this thread.... http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/b...mmunities.html
TTP can't do anything about it, complaining about it to others here wont fix it. Be proactive and make a solid post about the staples of what the game needs. If you don't like the game or the problems with it then why are we all still playing it? Because we all know this game has great potential.
Many of us admins have posted in this thread posted above and have kept it as straight forward as possible. Many I know are sending personal messages with devs and others associated with the game including myself. Things are being done to the best of their ability. Otherwise I say we chill on the 'BC2 game is broken' threads and start priming and getting more focused on presenting the soldiers that frequent our servers while we play to come visit TTP. We do host other non-broken games. Biggest and greatest advertisement is by word of mouth.

Re: Can issues be related?
Best answer, possibly. They could be one problem causing multiple symptoms, or it could be multiple different problems that all are brought on by similar conditions (such as heavy load)
It is almost pointless to try to think about unless you can get to a point where you can say "when X, Y and Z conditions are met you get result 123" and submit that to EA. Otherwise the coders are the ones that are going to have to do the guessing and the leg work and they should have multiple tools and logs to provide insight into what is occuring.

I have no desire to post on the EA thread, as I have too many logins and passwords as is.
Plus it's better for others, more educated than me to post there I figure.
I'm just rattling the brain bones before I game is all.
Edit - though I did not mean this thread to be a complaint thread, per se, I can understand the appearance that it might be, so feel free to disregard/lock it as needed.
Just trying to do what little I can to help
