BFBC2 noob questions

On the topic of newb questions i have one of my own...
I have heard in numerous places that you can make firing holes in walls with the engies repair tool, is this true?
If it is true how do you do it because no matter how much i try i cant seem to make it work.

If you LMB once you can shoot a guided rocket, it will guide to wherever your pointing. If you have the specialization Alternative Fire, RMB has a machine gun, and if you have optics spec, you can zoom.

engie tool will drill "murder holes" in concrete walls and barriers. But not metal or wood. Making sniper holes is a great way to help your teamplaying recon.

No it's not, which is the problem :S I don't see it anyways. All the filters are disabled (so that I get the widest search) but TTP's doesn't come up. I'll try it again to be sure, but last time I checked it wasn't there.
