Thread: Unlocks question

I am currently ranked First Sgt something right now and only have unlocks for medic and engineer left.

Does this change with rank?

You have to play the medic and engie class to get their unlocks through their own point levels.

You can start with a medic and pick up a sniper kit and you will still get points for being the medic though.

what i meant was. I have unlocked so far everything for vehicle, recon and assualt class.

As my rank increases will new unlocks become available for the classes?

Nope.

You'll just get certain weapons by rank alone, that's about it. Once you reach the end of Recon, Assault, etc, that's it for them. You'll just be unlocking whatever is left over by rank, which are the weapons that are available for all kits.

I think what he means is: Is it similar to Battlefield 2 or 2142, where you get unlocks by ranking up?

The answer is yes and no.

Each class has its own tree of unlocks that are unaffected by your rank, only by the amount of points you've scored as that class (including as a different class, if you picked up a different kit)

However, there are what we call "Universal" unlocks, such as the shotguns, G3, and shotgun upgrades, that are "unlocked" automatically by ranking up. However, the last unlock for the Universals is at level 22 (Thanks Keiron), with the G3.

So, you can still unlock class specific weapons, you just have to gain points in their respective kits.

G3 is 22 I believe because I have it and I'm still on 22. I believe that is the last unlock though in terms of the universal ones.
