I found this out when I competed in TWL matches. Competition players use LOW for many settings so enemies can't hide in the shadows or tall grass and don't blend in so well.

It's funny to see someone go prone behind a bush or clump of grass not realizing that an enemy looking at them from beyond 100ft with Terrain=LOW won't see the bush at all, just some silly person laying down on a featureless green carpet.

But then that enemy won't be able to enjoy all the pretty flowers like on FuShe.

Just because your computer can run everything on high doesn't mean you should keep them there.
Also If you computer is older and you feel that others have a better advantage because there computer is faster this may help you.

Display mode : 1920x1080 Because that is my screens native resolution but also gives me the largest F.O.V
    Overall quality : Custom
Terrain: : Low Because for one it takes less to load the map and two it makes it easier to see prone players in the grass or bushes Higher FPS
Effects: : High keeps contrails on jets so their easier to follow and trails on arty strikes are visible and easier to dodge
Geometry : High Targets come into view clearer and quicker from a distance
Texture : Low Lessens load times Higher FPS
Lighting : Low Contrary to what it says it actually takes the shadows off buildings making it easier to see targets hiding in corners or under balconies/decks
Dynamic Shadows :OFF I feel that keeping them off lessons lag and map loads faster Higher FPS also
Dynamic light : High Helps to see muzzle flash for easier locating of targets
Anti-Aliasing :Off If you have a decent resolution monitor you wont notice it off and also adds Higher FPS when off
Texture Filtering : High Targets come into view quicker From a distance
    Distance Scale : 100%
I keep my cross hairs Bright green but there are many effective colors I think better than the standard yellow

To check your FPS open the console by pressing ` and then type renderer.drawfps 1
If your fps is 99 like mine Then type game.lockfps 0 don't forget the spaces your fps could be near 400 if you have a superfast PC
And I thought you was hacking EVERY TIME you killed me while I was hiding.......j/k Thanks for this info MAYBE it will help me be a better player.

I'd rather have stuff look good then perform good. Then again, the FPS gain is very helpful.
