Killer22

Last night on the 2142 server a commander by the name of Killer22 made a bunch of mistakes, and commanded the squads pretty harshly as well. My squad leader (==OF== member) said he was chewing us out "because we suck and didn't get enough silos". Mind you, we had gotten about 3 field upgrades and a number of silos and were holding down most of the ground.

So, towards the end of the round I pop onto the Titan to check our defense and guess what? The commander, and 4 other guys are at the last console. No sentries, no support shields. So I tell the squad leader, and we saved the day by dropping a load of sentries and support fire. The commander, Killer22, also had a -12 team score at one point. We won the round by a sliver of hull, it was really that close.

Next round, Killer22 is still commander. This time though, he chose to ride into battle in a tank, as the driver. Granted, I don't condemn commanders going to battle, but how can you command when you're driving and being shot at?

I was frustrated, and took some screenshots.

Yes this is in the wrong forum, I don't have the powers, but this should be posted in the BF2142 section.

GoodJob getting the screenshots as proof. Next time he is on he will be dealt with properly.

I've seen him on before and I don't think has been that bad, usually I'll tell him something and he does/stops something. If he continues to command in such a way a few kicks may be needed, or even a ban if he does not get the hint a good commander does not actively participate in battle.

Roger that, I've seen him on a few times and he usually commands (without mutiny) when he is on. Perhaps this was a one night thing, I'm not sure. I just know I had to work a lot harder those two rounds, and my squad leader was ordering us based on the commander's orders.

Just had to vent I guess.

We'll definitely keep an eye on him, watch him closely and see how he is. Then we will make our judgment from then on.

I've played with this guy a number of times. When he is commanding he does get personal about the game and throws out alot of "Come on guys how hard is it to...." in a condescending tone. I don't think much of it, at least he is passionate about the outcome of the match. Hopefully his reasons are honorable. As far as being in the vehicles, I do on occasion get in the battle, especially if thing are on autopilot (ie titan defense and offense lined out with people getting silos). On a conquest map I very rarely move from a hiding spot. Point is, on a titan map I think its acceptable for a commander to be on the field in moderation. For example, I'll do a sat track and find a couple enemy silos with no one on them. I'll pass on the info but no one can or wants to break away from what they are doing. I'll pod in to take the silo and defend it til my demise.
Killer22 does need to be watched just like the rest of us but there are instances when a commander will chew you out or will be in the battle. Where you draw the line?? I hope it's obvious.
