    Punkbuster problem

I've been trying to get back into ttp battlefield 2 but these punkbuster errors like heartbeat's stop have been a real pain. I've done everything like reinstall punkbuster, and made sure that the BF2 pb is up to date. Also the server ping on the menu screen is very high. So I don't know if I should portfoward my router to make the game work properly like it was before...

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have the 1.50 patch installed ?? Did you uninstall the 1.41 then install both patches the 1.41 first then the 1.50 ?? Also did you unistall Punkbuster then reinstall ?? Then run a Manual Update ?? Punkbuster doesn't Automatically update you must do that Manually.

    Re: Punkbuster problem

surprisingly after patching up to 1.50 (and mind you this was with the buggy ass EADM version), I have not had a single PB drop/kick. I used to have to manually DC every other map on 1.41 because PB would lag and then kick me 10 minutes into the round. The only downside now is that I am running SLI using the nvidia profile for BF2 (nHancer) and when the gfx subsys decides to shit the bed, it can take my system down hard (requiring pressing the reboot button), but when it isn't crashing I've been able to continously play for hours.

I get the error for PnkbstrB.exe once in a while. I'm also on win7. What OS are you on? Also, try restarting your PnkbstrA and PnkbstrB files in your services.msc section. Sometimes that also works too.

Yeah I did that and defragged afterwards. Maybe that's what helped.

    Re: Punkbuster problem

thanks everyone I finally fixed my problem :10

All I had to do was decrease my video settings to all medium settings I think my computer was slowing down because it couldn't keep up with the game.
