Thread: Has this happened to you?

I have a brand new soldier, not a single shot fired yet. I have access to the ammo box, defib, med kit, and recon balls.

My original soldier, space.cowboy, did have to work to unlock each of these. I suppose it was patched at some point.

I seem to remember they showed up in the gadget menu when you were configuring your kit, but you couldn't actually use them. I looked at the patch notes for the patches so far and there wasn't a mention of opening them up... but then again... they don't always publicize every change.

Just jumped in with that soldier. I don't have access to the ammo box, med kit, or the balls. But I CAN use the defib.

To me, it didn't make sense that they made you earn those. Makes sense that they'd open them up in the long term though. Hard to start from scratch against people with all the unlocks without SOMETHING to earn you points.

Exactly. I got most of my points at lower ranks using defib/med kit and the engineer tool. Granted, most of the points I got with the engineer tool involved enemy tanks and enemy faces.
