But BF2142 is almost 3 to 4 years old plus is no longer supported by the manufacter from what I hear also was like Windows 98 Second Edition of Battlefield Series game.

EA was like ok Battlefield 2 was successful, we have sold 4 expanisions lets take a futuristic approach to war.

Hence Battlefield 2142 was born, 3 years and a dozen patches later. No expansions, nothing.

The problem with BFBC2 is negative post and about VOIP and lag on certain servers.

If those 2 things were not an issue the game would be hotter then it is.

I hoping the resolve these issues because the expansion BFBC2: VIETNAM comes out.

You're a bit misinformed about 2142, digital. There was 1 expansion for 2142, and currently there is a patch pending. To say that it's no longer supported, is not true. They're bringing 5 new maps with the patch release. If anything, that will give the game a new lease on life.

As for BC2, people are fed up with the excuses and the lack of action by DICE to address certain key issues facing the PC version of the game. Part of it was people's expectations being a member of the Battlefield franchise. This was a huge misstep by the marketers. The console crowd may be buying, but PC gamers are much more selective about the games they play. Look at what happened to other games that came out of the gate limping. QuakeWars, all but dead. FFOW, all but dead. BC2 started out guns a blazing but has petered out because DICE has not addressed outstanding issues in a timely fashion. The last patch certainly didn't help matters. Announce the patch and then a month later (almost to the day) release it. Not very smart on their part.

If things don't shape up real quick. This will be the last game I buy from EA/DICE. If VOIP is not working, I'll be damned if I give them one penny for BFBC2: Vietnam. It certainly won't be free. That's not how EA rolls. They want to milk every last penny out of us.

Agreed. There is a lot about the game that I love, but the support has been sub-par and it is getting annoying. They really should have known better from the beginning. I will not be buying MoH too unless they do something with BC2 first.

The 2142 patch looks promising so I might actually try to get back into that once it launches. I will try to get to BC2 again soon but after the latest patch and still the bad reports people are saying about it, I'm not really in a hurry at the moment to really play it a lot.
