EXCEPT they haven't finished patching all the servers. In fact OUR servers are currently down, I'd assume being patched. This game is not like BF2 & 2142. The server and client don't have to be in sync to work. Until they declare all servers patched and TPGs servers are up. Then and only then will I believe that VOIP is not fixed.

Re: The why's behind the delay in the patch.
That long pathetic excuse hurled at the public is the result of a company who fell into the same pit Activision did. They focused so much on quantity over quality that they built a shitty foundation under their feet. They've been paying the toll over the last few months trying to bring their buggy ass pos back up-to-speed. Thats why EA fell off the frontline of the industry leaders of Graphic Engine Design so much to the point they went and licensed a Engine from another company. Simply because they focused on quantity over quality. Well you got what you deserved and if your smart, you will fire your Senior Staff or Finance department, because one of the two, hasnt a fucking clue whats going on.
Look at Crytec, Epic, Valve; thats how its done. You dont go releasing games that are actually in alpha to public then pulling month overhaul patches abandoning users during the process. And as i pointed out before, they again are focused on quantity, releasing these stupid 500000000000000 bugs fixed patches every 4 months, instead of releasing small patch every few weeks.
Disgusting lowlifes... They insult the profession.
Wake up EA, get Professional.Last edited by Bunni; 06-30-10 at 05:09 PM. Reason: spelling

Re: The why's behind the delay in the patch.
Alright - just got real news behind The real why behind the delay in the patch!!
They all got together over coffee and laughed and ate cream cheese bagels, then the CO comes in, they all clap and cheer and he turns on the projector and says:
"OK lads so here's the new business plan: We build a great looking destructible environment and tout this game as a new age in video gaming! Yeah as you saw with project BC2 we can pre-sell these muppets into our game, by getting them to test it for us on a mass scale! Hey don't even worry about the fixes they cry for because they'll be expecting a miracle patch that we may get to eventually. Hell most people will even use third party voip programs so whatever. If they get rowdy and start upping the traffic on our "forum" we can say ooh look we just gave you some really cool free maps! Yeah thats the shiney effect - it'll distract them as they play contently with it. Now here's the ingenious part of our game lads, this is Game base is a model for other developers to use like crytek and unreal do, we use this to make even more money. Sure the players will be pissed eventually as we "pretend" to patch the game and refuse to say that we didn't care about the lag and voip issues because we're too busy lying on piles of their money sipping Belgium beer and watching dancing ladies of the pole dance around us. Now the true genius of this is after lets say 2-4mths people will be bored of this and leave the game in pursuit of new games (of ours hopefully) we entice them back with promises of BF3 - hell lets face it lads we already know the same will happen again with that game too - so lets rush the basics again, push out that product fast - My 2009 Ferrari is so last year..."
They all clap and nudge and wink at each other then one programmer says:
"But sir BF3 should be a product of passion for those players - BF2 was such a success because we loved the game and really wanted to make an epic war game"
"Soone fire this clueless wanker"
They all laugh again as the programmer gets dragged away to his Aston Martin.
