Thread: question

I was wondering if using an xbox 360 controller to fly a jet would be a noob move or not... Because I'm looking for a controller to actually help my flying and make me a better ace... I've use to play Ace combat 6 on the 360 and it helped me alot .... I just don't want people to call me a noob because I'm using a controller to fly besides a flight stick...

Oh, you'll be a noob no matter what you do.

Whatever works for you, no one controller scheme is inherently better than another. Xav flies with just a keyboard; some people do well with mouse/keyboard; other's use sticks (because they're compensating for their own lack of "stick").

so your saying xav doesn't have a stick? How the hell is he raping everyone with the attack chopper then O_o

The mouse and keyboard is best for helicopters and the joystick is the best for the planes (although I use keyboard and mouse for flying.) Of course that is all just potential and my opinion. But since the XBox controller has mini joysticks, it would be a great way to fly the plane, in a helicopter it is more about feel than tight turns so the joystick doesn't have the advantage it has over the mouse in the plane.
