Re: Desert Combat
Why even ask the question to give him the opportunity to try to keep telling us how we do it all wrong. The more you acknowledge it, the better he feels, he seems to like playing mind/word games. I'm sure there is an online scrabble game that is just waiting.
His statements and beliefs do not belong here. It amazes me that he even bothers to play here. Apparently he feels the need to educate us. I cannot comprehend his thinking and I'm not going to waste time on addressing him. If his way is better, then he can hit the road, setup his own server and do it the way he feels is best. Who knows maybe he'll succeed.
After reading some of this thread and it's responses; seems I might have been right about you.Last edited by 11Bravo; 08-18-10 at 08:51 PM.

Re: Desert Combat
I came here, specifically to you in PRIVATE. I didn't raise hell in the forums. I engaged in a thread about teamplay or the lack thereof. I offered up my own OPINIONS in a civil manner about teamplay as it relates to our BF lineage. And for that, you split my posts off of the original thread. I think some of you are confused. I NEVER once said that I didn't like your server. I enjoy it mostly. What I did imply in no uncertain terms was that your ranked server attracts people that ARE NOT ACCUSTOMED to teamplay and therefore have to be transformed into teamplayers. IMO, the fix for this would be to simply host an unranked server since the motivations behind those folks seeking you out are different from those that visit ranked servers. I tried your server because it was populated. I enjoyed it right up to the point where I was punished for an unintentional TK. Punishment for that type of TK only builds resentment...especially since I took the time to say sorry in-game not once but twice to the individual.
I don't know how to say sorry to people who won't accept a simple apology.

Re: Desert Combat
That's the point. We build teamplayers, we don't wait for them to magically self-generate. Being a teamplayer isn't just a state of mind, it's an ethos formed in the fires of conflict and hardened by the hammer of communication. We have and have had one of the top-rated BF2 servers since nearly day-one. That doesn't happen if you're doing something wrong, so we must be doing it right. We take all comers, and we show them how effective the team can be when it works together, we train them in the art of leadership, and we instill a sense of duty to the win. Obviously, this lesson has passed you by.

Fuck you, and fuck your drivel, and fuck your drama. Be the bigger man and let it go, or your time here on the forums and on the server is going to be exceptionally short.
Locked.
