My friend needs help with BC2 Error

My friend just got the game this week (I thing it's CD) cause he told me that he was waiting to have it delivered to his place.

This is a message he sent me via facebook:

"So I keep getting this message "RESTRICTION: service Communication Failure: PNKBstrB.exe initialization failed" and I have looked online and theres about 1000 solutions and none of them worked for me. Do you know how to fix this?"

I told him that he might have to update the punkbuster thing but I'm not sure myself of his problem. Anyone knows what this is about?

Help would be much appreciated.

Sounds a lot like a firewall block. He needs to make sure he has whatever fire wall software running allows PNKBstrB access. If he's using windows firewall, Microsoft isn't always on top of "asking" if you want to allow or block access, it's best to manually config the firewall.

Well he says that some servers he doesn't have the issues and other servers he has the issue. So it might be a PB or EA problem. We shall see.
