Might make sense to use PKM only on Chinese side, as the RPK is also pretty good. Somebody said it elsewhere: if you can control your burst to 2 shots, you can even snipe with the PKM. (same range as the barret, same penetration/damage. No scope of course.

I'll be impressed when you can shoot a jet out of the sky with the PKM. I've done it many times with a stock shot gun.
