PR Install Question

Im installing....or Attempting to Install PR for the first time, and when install part 1 pops up I get the message "Be sure to back up any changes you may have made to your Default install" for Folder C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2.

Should I make an Entire Dup of the folder or can I just continue with the PR Install without screwing something up with Battlefield 2 v1.51?

You should be just fine. The only thing you need to know is that when you load up regular BF2 after installing PR is there will be a couple of changes made. You will need to readjust your crosshair (PR kills it) and turn auto-reload back on....both are done from the same menu screen, and shouldn't take more than 2 seconds. Otherwise......install away.

Alright thanks -- Im having trouble getting Part 2 to Install after Prompting it, Part 1 Installed Fine *shrugs*

What is it doing? If it is just hanging up, and not doing anything....maybe give it a few minutes. That happened to me....it would seem like nothing was happening, and then 5-10 minutes later, it would suddenly fire up.

Yeah Im just chilling here talking on Steam and viewing Boarrds then trying to fire it up again, but still nothnig for the last 2 hours haha.. The first of 3 installed fine lol -- 2 is just being stubborn

re-download part 2. Sounds like it's corrupt.

Little side note. If you set your controls.con & general.con config files within your My Documents\Battlefield2\Profiles\001 folder to read only. It will not make any changes to your cross hair or reload option. Just remember to set those two files to read only before you ever launch PR. You will get an error when you first launch PR telling you that it might need changes made. Ignore it.
