There's a lot of questions to be answered still. First, is it like BF2:Special Forces or 2142:Northern Strike. Second, are people going to be willing to put forward money for Vietnam, after the missteps by EA/DICE with BC2. We need to focus on getting our vanilla BC2 server running and up in the rankings. If we fragment our user base (and admins) by having 2 servers, it could end up jeopardizing both servers and we'll be back where we were a couple months ago.
Must learn to walk, before run, grasshoppa.

Exactly, Payed map packs and expansions rarely work for dedicated servers.
You either split everyone into two servers (SF) or kick players out who don't have the maps. (2142)
The bottom line is not everyone can or is willing to buy extra content.
Either way you lose player base, interest, and community strength. Too bad everyone can't be like Valve.

Valve is too awesome for most people to think about even comparing themselves too. Sadly though, since micro-transactions seem to be the thing to do, even Valve is doing it with the TF2 Store items.
I'd say it'd probably be best to wait it out some anyways. BC2 still has issues and who knows what will happen exactly once Vietnam comes out. It could cause a whole other set of issues and break things or it could help fix everything. I'm guessing it'll be the former.
