Where have all the admins gone?

I might ruffle a few feathers with this and hurt my popularity (yes, that last was joke), but when has that ever stopped me in the past. In hindsight, maybe that's why I was never popular.....

Anyway, why don't I ever see admins and regs priming this server? When I was an admin, besides having to walk uphill both ways in the snow and barefoot to do it, we HAD to get our butts in the server and help build the 2142 community. Sadly, that community we had is all but disappeared.

Just recently got back into playing 2142 and have seen the longtime regs and even resident clan members scattered on other servers. There are other 2142 servers still full and consistent with players regularly. Why can't TPG be one of those?

Just sayin'......

Trust me... we're well aware of the issue and trying to address. A lot of the hard core regs have moved on to other games, but there are still those who still play regularly. Trying to coax them into playing on our server isn't always easy. We cut back the server to 32 players to try and make it easier to prime. Going to put together a couple nights a week (to start) where we get the 2142 server going. Get people to all concentrate on priming at the same time and get the server going quickly. When we've gotten it going, it's filled up, but most folks aren't willing to put forth the effort to prime an empty server, sadly.

I'd love to play, sadly I lost my CD key, and the install on my PC "magically" has been damaged, and now it won't boot past the splash screen. I've been hoping the new patch will come out so steam will offer it.

Well I'm one of the regs playing other servers but everytime I get on I check this one first and it is usually empty so I have to go elsewhere to play. I will join when it has peeps on it if it's not to late.

With that said - I've gotten through the holidays and Anira is back in school so it might be easier for me to prime in the early evenings again than it was.
