    Steam error code 51

    FUCK MY LIFE!!!

    The great mysteries of error code 51 are making me want to give up on this game for today.

    Exit Steam, Go into your Steam folder and delete your Clientregistry.blob file. Restart steam, it'll download a new file. Try launching the game again.

    Failing that, disable any software firewall you're running on your PC. It can also be caused by blocked communication.

    Integrity, defrag, clientreg.blob, system updates, ports, restart steam, restart PC... Nothing.

    Completely shut down any security programs you have installed... Antivirus, Firewall, etc. Just opening ports may not be enough, as some security suites are pretty braindead.

    Firewalls were all wide open, and so was AV.

    I guess I can try again with the programs totally off, but I'm not sure that'll help.

    You might try filing a ticket with Steam then. Indicate what you've done and hopefully they can come up with a solution.
