At one point and time the AA in BF2 worked correctly but those that weren't quite elite enough to figure out how to get around it complained soooo much to EA they got nerfed to point of even someone like me could get out of an AA attack which is pretty pathetic... cuz I reallllly suck at flying.

The problem I have with AA and AAA is their lack of power.
ANY ground based AA missile should explode an aircraft on the first hit. A shoulder fired one should send it back to mama for serious repair (if it makes it !) Any ground/mobile AAA should shred the FRAGILE jet to pieces and smoke the slow moving chooper. Instead we have to put two or three missile into them wich is nearly impossible and suicidal.
In reality the jets fly so fast you have to be lucky to have the time to lock-on before the jets is gone. Chopper don't have that advantage. That's why modern ground support need laser illuminating to ease the fighter-bomber's job. Chopper use stealthiness/groundhugging to survive a "target-rich" environment.
Many noticed the balance in BF2142 between ground and air power. But there is no jets in BF2142...........
