skill vs gear

now i've been ponderin this. if not most to all probably use magnum ammo. but can one be a skilled player and still geard with the strong stuff? other day trying to get my medals with the SV98 SNAIPERSKAYA. i found while using the magnum ammo no matter where i hit shoulder leg torso it was an instant kill. now if all you have to do is get them anywhere in your cross hairs and there dead is there any skill to that? since that day i stopped using magnum ammo and slugs. but i ponder what exactly counts as skill

The knowledge of the game, used properly to Win as a Team.

Snipers creed: One shot, One Kill.
Plus its a medal if I'm not mistaken just like the Slugs are...

there is absolutely skill involved with 1 shot sniper shots.... Dont get shot first......Its not easy..

Yeah, it's one of those high risk high reward things, even more so when your close range. Don't forget you only have one shot then you need to either wait a couple seconds for the next shot or switch to pistol. When close range you are kinda screwed when you meet multiple people so it does have weaknesses.
