Your "opinion" is based on ignorance. It has been explained to you in detail why we chose to START THINGS OFF with HC. Any argument against its success is retarded at best.
Having an opinion is one thing, disrespecting the people who put a ton of their own time into TPG is another. Coming in here spewing bullshit about the selfishness of the admins and management not only is insulting, but ridiculous.

You could have come in here and just asked......or gave your opinion....but you didn't. Instead, we get insulted with false accusations, and some fucking hair-brained theory of why HC was chosen over the all-knowing Rico suggestion of Vanilla.....how dare us, after all, you have talked to some people. Sit your ignorant ass down, and re-read the response I gave you on page 14, as it obviously didn't make it all the way through your ego the first time.

So no....you won't be told to fuck off for your opinion, but I will give you a hardy fuck off for your insults to the people who volunteer here. If you think so lowly of the people who donate their time and effort to make TPG what it is, and that their motivations are selfish in any way, then maybe it's time for you to hit the bricks.

Well, I'm sorry that you have "grown tired of trying to make the community better". We haven't, and we were doing it long before you came here, and will be long after you are gone. I think we will be fine, despite what you think. Quit acting like some victim or martyr.....you were the one who came blazing in acting like an asshole, not any of us. But, if that's the way you want to run away....I don't see anyone stopping you.

I like hardcore. Sure it has it's bad sides, but damage is not one of them. I like the increased damage, it means less "I just emptied 2 clips into the guy and he didn't die yet" BS that we find everywhere from COD4 to BF2. Lack of a compass is probably the "worst" aspect of it, but as a fan of Arma2 and related Arma2 mods (particularly ACE - which pretty much has all of the HUDy stuff turned off like BC2 HC, no ammo bar, no minimap, no spotting) I don't find it terribly game breaking, especially once you learn the maps and you can call out some common locations (no, not the Alamo crap

but things like where the VADS is and the UAV ship, construction, upper, beach, etc.. I bound a closeby button for the full map and that works well for me. Of course, in Arma2 you can actually write on the full-map, but I think with the operational tempo of BC2 that would quickly turn into someting out of Madden-hell.

And while the "grenade!" or "sniper!" yells might be the ultimate wallhack for the opfor, it's also there to tell you to find some better cover because you're probably about to go down. One night I was pubbing with H7 and I was all like "why does this experience feel so...synthetic" then I suddenly looked down and noticed I was on a non-HC server - no wonder why it felt *boring*

I don't think 2 servers is sustainable at this point. Look at the gametracker graphs. Server *might* prime on weekday afternoons, and then dies around dinner time. Then picks up again for about 5 hours (7-midnight EST); the server is probably only full for a good 2-4 hours per weeknight (sometimes there are outliers, but as a nightowl player a lot of times I get on around or after midnight and it dies the next map). Server is fuller for longer on weekends, but there are definitely inconsistent numbers throughout. If the server ran like the BF2 one used to, consistently full server from 7-8pm EST - 1-2am EST every night and then full on weekend afternoons (3/4pm-2/3am est)-late consistently during the weekend, then sure maybe you'll have a chance of priming a second server. But at this rate, I don't think we'd get the population to that steady state before BF3 comes out.

I just don't get it, trigger has offered to pay for a month and I'll bet someone would volunteer to setup. I think it would be safe to say that we (the pro vanilla players) just want a place at our chosen home for gaming to play a game with friends that play with teamwork in mind. Hell let the people that want it be responsible for admin and maint. issues and if it draws peeps from HC

Personally I don't care if it has a TS channel cause the people that want to play all want the same thing TEAMPLAY and TPG is virtually the only server host that requires it. I doubt that any of this means anything to anyone other than myself but I've been here for awhile and will continue to call TTP home regardless of the outcome.
