Technical help :(

Hey guys I installed 2142 and I cannot join a server.

I have a copy of the deluxe edition, I think it was 1.40 orignally. I installed NS as well. I patched directly to 1.51. I had to change the thing in the registry to 1.51 as well for some reason, it was still on 1.40 after I installed 1.51. I'm using Windows vista32.
When I try to join a server, it tells me that I can't join the server because I have modified content. I 'm assumging it's because of the change I made to the registry, but I dunno.

Any basic help?

I'm feeling lazy, maybe I will go look tomorrow, but.....

there were 2 "official" 1.51 patches. the 2nd one was slightly more ginormous and came out like 2 or 3 days afterwards.

Of course, you're on a Mac, they just work, so I don't know if the above applies to you.

You cannot go to 1.51 from 1.4. You must first install 1.5 to install 1.51. You will likely need to uninstall completely, reinstall, patch to 1.5 and then 1.51.
