The tank v tank one shot works by skipping your round off the armor and hitting the turret, you can actually destroy the T-72 by bouncing a round of the same spot as the abrams but you must be off the center line or the bounce will not hit the turret.

How do you skip (rebound? They explode on contact..) a round off the armor and into the turret and what is a T-72?

Damn, we had a post on here before that spoke directly about hit boxes on vehicles. Got to do some searching.

If I remember correctly, an APC does not have a "special" area to hit to cause more damage as opposed to the tank. If you are at full health and get hit by only one AT rocket and immediately explode, then something sounds fishy. Those ice cream trucks if I hit around the front area with an AT won't immediately make it explode, but it will cause enough damage that it eventually explodes.
