Re: Fun Facts
This kind of action is exploiting game mechanics. You are actively shortening your reload times that developers programmed and gives the player an unfair advantage. This is akin to quick switching in Counter Strike: Source, or using your mouse wheel to fire a single shot weapon faster than humanly possible. This was a major problem in the Call of Duty realm. Anyone caught doing this will be persecuted as someone exploiting game mechanics.

Re: Fun Facts
The reload timers were BALANCED after the animations were finished. The art department does not go back and change the length of an animation to make it fit the game balance mechanics after patches. Yes they could speed up and slow down the animations but it just does not look right. Try slowing/speeding regular video and see how dope it looks.
So basically the REAL reload times are the ones hard coded to each weapon for balance. These are what Wickedson was pointing out to you. They are listed on all the weapon stats sites. Yes most of us, myself included just let the animation play out.... However if you want you can swap a weapon out to shave off a second or less. To be honest I would argue you barely get 500ms out of it because of the time it takes to swap in and out plus lag. But people argue its worth it.
All this is is a reflection of lazyness on the developers side to recompile the weapon animations after balance patches. Don't blame people for using it, they are using the REAL reload timers.
