question: when you patch BF2 does it also patch SF for you? Or do you need to patch SF? Does SF even have a patch?

As long as you are using the BF2 collection DVD it should patch everything. If you bought SF seperately then I'm not sure. I would watch for steam to have it on sale again and nab it there. Installs and patches everything with out the hassle of losing keys or disks.

Question- what directory should the patches be installed to if you use the CD version? The server info sticky wasn't very clear on that.

If you bought individual hard-copies of BF2 and SF, install in the following order:

1. BF2
2. SF
3. 1.41 patch
4. 1.5 patch

This order is necessary because installing SF also installs a patch (I think 1.2).

I hope you do realize that SF has tear gas. With the amount of grenade spammers we have. And the small size of maps SF has (So, small that a single chopper missile can fly across the whole map). We would see nothing.... The whole map would be covered in tear gas. AHAHHAAH, we should so do it...
