How to address soldiers (especially as a leader)?

While commanding the other day, I wrapped up the round by stating, "good work gentlemen". However, I realized moments later that we have several women in the game (I'm still a n00b commander, so I had not made note of who the various squad leaders were -- just numbers/sizes ;-D). At work I refer to people as "staff" or possibly "colleagues", but neither of these seem appropriate for bf2. Similar issues arise as a squad leader.

This has likely already been answered by the armed forces (but I'm not very familiar with that culture)... or other bf2 players.

    "Good work, everyone."

Also, I think some casual collective identifiers have become gender-inclusive. I don't feel like "Guys" is only male anymore. Women really can be just one of the guys.

At least, that's how it works in my little corner of reality. Not being a woman, it'd be nice to get some confirmation on that from some of the women in this little corner of reality.

    Cheers,

It usually takes me a second to register that they are talking to me too.... I'm not used to be considered one of the "guys". I will respond to "Oh Baby" though.

Say, "good job gentlemen" take a long pause and in your most creeptastic voice say "and laaaddddiiessss". Bonus points if you're wearing large dark sunglasses and rock a 'stache.

    Works for me.
