Re: 11B_Pathfinder is coming
Let it be known, I don't rage quit, I haven't in a long long time. It takes a lot to get me to that point. [little secret, the more pissed off I get the more I start learning quicker, and yes I have been known to use someone's strats on them. They have been doing that shit to me in PR for years. I just come up with new ideas to keep 'em honest]
I don't like feeling like my rookie mistakes are costing a team either. So, when I get the chance, I'll try to learn the maps. That will probably be my biggest hurdle. After that, logistics on how to move around properly I'll test out when it's opportune.Coyote Warlady liked this post

You were doing the right things when I saw you. The hardest part is getting past that front line. Once you do though, you can wreck. The hardest thing for me is getting a team that will actually push the objectives with me. But, most of the time they will sit behind a rock or in their spawn instead of watching the box.

also watch Partyball's movies from the http://www.teamplayergaming.com/batt...intrested.html thread. While it doesn't show you the entire map, I learned a bunch of really cool things from there.

Re: 11B_Pathfinder is coming
It was cool playing on the same team with Bravo last night. But i sensed a wee bit of frustration.
A few words of advice from a guy that went through the trial by fire.
A huge chunk of BC2 is knowing the terrain. You learn the maps, you learn the routes from A to B and B to C, and so on.
Knowing the terrain will help you find/avoid the enemy. In the mean time, since there is no kill cam or mini-map your gonna get killed alot, theres just no way to avoid it. And its gonna piss you off because you have no idea where the shots that killed you came from.... until you learn the terrain. Then things start to make sense. Thats not a big issue except that it takes time. And as i said in previous rage posts about BC2.... no one like ass-rape, but that's what it will feel like as you learn the basics, then finer points of BC2.
I jumped into hard core before anything else and it almost ruined the game for me, thankfully we had a vanilla server for a time and that helped me improve drastically. Once i was confident about where i was, where i needed to go and the mode the maps play in, i went back to hardcore since it is far more challenging and rewarding than vanilla. I still like vanilla, but on a good night it can really feel like shooting fish in a barrel, and im no leet player, my stats are average at best so for me to say that really says something about vanilla.
Also, if you can get on early and prime, you can usually explore the maps with no resistance, or find a fellow primer that will assist in learning the maps or dueling it out with you for practice. (just realized i didn't even mention the weapons)
