visa versa: I see alot of PC gamers who need to be on consoles. ppl who bitch about bad patching, hardware issues and how unfair it is XXXX player get 60fps and thier rig cant.

I have kids who play thier FPS games on consoles, they are good too. The tactics used are because of the limted contorl inputs VIA hand held controlers.(I loath when i see these on bc2 servers)

1: the trap door spider. find a dark corner and sit there till some unsuspecting objective pusher passes your line of sight and BLAMMM!!!! then back to your spot.

2: alley snipers aiming is hard so why not just keep your sights on a tight alley so your targets cant move and you dont have to aim. ZING!!!

3:campy camperson: you often find these ppl will TK over the most lucrative spots. and will return to the same spot over and over and over and over. NO kitty this is MY!! pot pie!!!

4: bushmasters/super mario's Im lumping these to together becuase they are always in the same youtube "secret spots" vids on you tube. nothing worse then players going above and beyond pushing the map borders as much as they can. exploting game physics to get thier awsome PWNING spot....and then sit there all game.

This is just the first one I found.
There's also one for the PS3 that I posted about somewhere on the Dust 514 thread.

Only works on other new players or lazy players. Good players always check obvious camp spots. The best players will breach corners already lined up on the camp spot right where the head should be. Because he's ready and aimed he can react faster than the camper. Now if there are multiple camp spots in that area sometimes it will work but only once. Next time you will know where to breach and grab the easy kill.

Actually a valid tactic to deny the enemy freedom of movement. Personally I don't think its that effective as its to limiting to watch just one alley, way to many opportunities to flank in Battlefield games. Also fire and forget rockets are extremely effective at removing a dug in enemy.

Lucrative spots = obvious spots = easy to find and kill the enemy. The very first places I look on a map are the good old camp spots. Hell blind nades to these spots offer up free kills at a surprisingly abundant rate.

Are we talking Battlefield games here? BC2 for example has destructable terrain so these spots tend to disappear quite quickly. Sure there are some hard to reach spots on hills around the edge of some maps but the effort to reach them and the pay off are rarely worth it. Glitching .. using clipping and other game flaws to hide yourself visibly or shoot out from a wall while not being able to be shot yourself are almost always a reason to be banned in any game I've played. Its my experience that there is no such thing as a PWR owning spot. Some spots have a high defensive advantage, good over watch, nice cover, high up. But their value is only as good as the enemies teams in ability to flank or counter you in that spot. Smoke, Mortars, nades, rockets, 40mm's, snipers should be able to remove a dug in camper no matter the terrain. I'm talking battlefield here other games play a little differently.
