Wow, the reason for this rant is that this is not an argument its you guys yelling at the community. Also, as I stated I am speaking from experience since I played the alpha and loved it, I am looking forward to this game. It is a terrible falicy to claim that past experience is automatically going to be born out in the future, BTW. Finally, being shouted down in a forum is not persecution, its how forums work.

Re: BF3 or MW3?
So I've gone back to see what you've actually added to the discussion of this topic.
This was added, and yet here you are still battling with people.
If popular opinion doesn't matter then why does the minority matter any more than the latter? Your also in place that is pretty biased to what COD stands for (run and gun/ Kills are priority). So of course most people are going to slam COD because it doesn't really stand for what we do here. Basically while COD was here we had to contrive team play where it barely existed. On flip side of this why you even care you don't like COD any more than you like BF3.
Assumptions can be made about anything you have no idea what goes on at Dice. Their nothing for anyone to say about what you posted because it would require inside knowledge that no one here has. Just because one game is bad doesn't make a pattern. If you look back at BF games they seem have great deal more quality games than not.
These are two big titles that are coming close to the end of 2011. Even you can't deny that these are two top selling franchises that make a lot money for both parties. A lot people enjoy these games or else they wouldn't be putting their money down to buy it. Quality is subjective to the person, and I personally don't like what COD offers, but I do like BF games. The fact is based on past precedence these two games will more than likely be the two top selling games this year. If they deserve the money they receive is well deserved remains to be seen, and again is subjective to opinion.
You haven't played it, and if you actually took the time play the FREE beta you may end up liking it, or maybe you won't. The point is you don't know your making the right choice because you basing your opinion on one bad BF game that burned you. As I said in my post I haven't even reserved it because of my bad feelings about BC:2. I'm going try the free beta then make an educated decision based on some hands on game play. I'll know then if this worth my money or not instead just assuming it's going be bad, and writing it off.

1. I'm not yelling at the community. I'm talking shit about the game, which you shouldn't take as a personal insult. Especially if you don't care about my opinion.
2. You're not shouting me down, you are telling me to stop posting because doing so makes me a "retard". Which IS personally insulting.
3. Alright. Lets do this then. I believe that it's fun. But is it fun in a fancy of flight kind of way? Or is it fun in a way that will last for more than a year. Is this a game that you will come back to year after year to continue playing not JUST because your friends are playing but also because it'll still be a genuine joy for you? Answer that truthfully.
If the answer is "YES, without a doubt, this will be the game to play for years to come". I will go, make an account on Origin, plan my new PC for next month, and pre-order TODAY. And you'll have convinced me to buy it, over the internet, on a forum. Because I trust your judgement that much Hannibal. So what's your verdict?"Murder and marriage aren't too much unlike each other, one ends your life, and the other is a crime"

Re: BF3 or MW3?
Can someone please move this thread to Game Discussions as it is not a BF3 specific thread.

No your yelling at the community, just cause your not using caps, I will be generous and call it trolling. And I consider telling someone to shut up, being the same thing as shouting them down. I don't care what you are saying anymore, I do care that you are taking up space in these forums to say the same thing over and over again. You really should not be so upset you have to build a new PC for BF3, If you don't want to play anything other than Half-Life you could still be using a PC from '02.
An insult is not persecution, its an insult, because your just being a shrill contrarian, like a 5 year old without who didn't get his lolly pop, not an adult. As for the game, I would venture to say since I obsessed over a map for about 10 days with no VOIP and no team play, yes I will be returning to it for awhile. Now let me be clear, I can't put the amount of time into games that I would like during the semester but I plan to hit this motherfucker pretty hard over winter break, and in the summer. Also, your mileage may vary, I am not saying that this game is the next coming of Jesus Christ, now your so down on the game your probably going to pick it apart, and thats fine.

Trolling, childish behavior, being insulting to your "community". Call it whatever you want, doesn't make you right until you prove it. Of course you really can't, so just drop the subject of trolling would ya. It's stale. We are discussing the game, not how much you dislike my behavior.
And why are you dancing around the question? Just say "Yes" or "No". And we'll find out whether you end up being right or wrong in two or so odd years. Like I've already said, if you say yes, i'll buy it. And I'll play it as often as I play any other game I enjoy. I won't even complain on the forums, for the foreseeable future. (I mean I might complain if VOIP doesn't work or some shit like that). But as far as doing the repetitive task of arguing moot points with you guys, i'll stop doing that. I'll save a screenshot, and in two years we'll know. That simple.
So I ask again, whats your verdict. Yes or No?"Murder and marriage aren't too much unlike each other, one ends your life, and the other is a crime"

OK... This has drawn on long enough. It's clear that no one here is willing to give an inch on their positions, so I'm shutting this circular debate down. If any new points were being raised, I might let it go on but it's the same parties making the same arguments.
