LOL - I know you are.
But I, like everyone else including Civil's mom, have been waiting and hoping for a new "Real Deal" BF game. Thought that BC2 would be it. We were sadly mistake. Hope that BF3 will be it. I hope we're not getting trollolololed by DICE again.
Me = Bitter Vet (there I said it - I pine for true BF goodness BF2/2142)

.....and you can call me a blind optimist.
I just want this to work out soooo badly. I really miss playing with people who branched off to other games and also long to play with many whom I have never played with, only chatted with in the forums. Please GAME GoDs, MAKE THIS WORK!!!

Dude, I am so sick of my mom bitching about Metro. I know mom, rush mode sucks, sheesh.
That being said, at this point it doesn't matter how hard they try to protect the "code" their shit is getting hacked. I would even wager that there are hacked servers up as fast, or faster, than legit servers. It is the world we live in.
ALL that being said, I was just hoping for a bigger/better/newer BF2, but I think I will be hoping for that until the day I either build it myself, or die. There is no incentive for a developer to make a game that will hold the interest of hard core gamers for 5-10 years. Our ADD society is so easily distracted by, "ooooh, something shiny" that MOST of them could give two shits how good the actual game is. In this day and age 1 million people buying a game for $60/year beats 1 million people buying a game, sometimes 2-3 times, for $60/5 years.

You, me, and a few hundred/thousand people here, but in the opinion of the major developers that pales in comparison to the kiddies who line up at Gamestop to drop $60 on a new CoD every 12 months. Hell, I would bet that they could take the exact same coding and just drop different skins and guns in it, call it a new game, and people would still pay $50 for it. Oh wait, they did, it was called CoD:WaW.
For the most part gamers are stupid, and the developers just program to the bell curve.
