    Try turning off your firewall completely at least temporarily.

    Thanks guys, I did that but no luck....I have checked all the forums and while my computer system (inc graphics card) aren't up to running BF3 in high def mode...I should at least be able to start it. Very bummed....Any other ideas (aside from sending special C4 packages to EA!) would be warmly welcome....even a bit of voodoo would be useful.
