I really hope you played BC2. If not, you are screwed and wont be doing shit but feeding the other team tickets. This goes for everyone expecting to go from BF2 to BF3. You are in for a rude awakening if you think you are just going to jump in there and start raping.

Shit, 1942 was legit... I still have the original copy with all the expansions. Dog fighting, driving the ship, tanks, jeeps, destroyers and submarines were a blast, etc... Battlefield 1942 was a blast. Best game made ever.....

Yeah, the Beta was definitely reminiscent of BF2 in terms of scale and team-based strategy; but physics wise, especially with destruction, it is a different engine to be sure. BC2 felt very similar, just without prone and faster...
