re: BF3 Client Side Technical Problems & Useful Information
I keep getting "Could not join server(1)" messages!
I have made sure all the ports are configured correctly
I have reinstalled the game
I have even tried running everything in administrator mode.
I am at a total loss as to where to go from here. Been working on this for about a week or so now.
I didn't see any info in this thread about my particular issue if I missed it I apologize but any suggestions would be helpful at this point.

re: BF3 Client Side Technical Problems & Useful Information
I have found that the Default Teamspeak DirectX Overlay causes my game to not boot. I had set it one night before hitting the sack. The next day I tried EVERYTHING I could think of to get into a game, all the while with TS3 and its plug-in loaded. Finally, after 3+ hours I realized what I had done. Talk about frustrating!

I haven't jumped into the game yet to see if it helped but I found several thing that needed tweaking. TY Gato!
edit: yeah I knew to look for the TS overlay It gave me issues when I first got BF3. Good tipLast edited by ATEXANnHISGUN; 03-16-12 at 04:42 PM.

re: BF3 Client Side Technical Problems & Useful Information
once I gave it a try after a recent video posting inquiry, I couldn't get it to load either...tried turning of steam..xfire..steam and xfire...then I came across a post on the interwebs about turning off Origin's overlay, and voila.
in short: it does work, you just need to disable Origin's in-game overlay.
