Thread: Battlefield 3 Required Ports

If you are using a router you most likely need to forward these ports in order to benefit the most from your network connectivity. This MIGHT help with common network issues such as lag spikes and network related stuttering. Here are the ports you need to forward:

TCP

80, 443, 9988, 20000-29999, 22990, 17502, 42127

UDP

3659, 14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300


If you are unfamiliar on how to forward the necessary ports through your router please refer to the list in the link below. It will have a list of router models and a guide for each one. (After you select your router there will be an add page which you can skip immediately and it will take you to the proper page).

I would also suggest checking you virus scanner if you are having issues receiving messages or co-op requests. Sfri and I found out last night that the scanners will block those requests and messages. Disabled them and boom, game time.
