Some really bad maps for 64 players...
I just wanna say that I like BF3 a lot and ive enjoyed playing, but there are just some really bad maps for 64 players, gameplay pretty much stops at choke points and strategic gameplay goes bah. These maps become worse when the teams are evenly balanced in skill...
Operation Metro
Horrible map design. Every single time ive played this map in different servers the 2 teams get stuck in stairs and escalators. The whole game is about camping, rocket spamming, nading and reviving. Zero maneuverability. You either keep trying to run forward and die consistently or camp back.
Damavand Peak
This map is so annoying. One big choke point with a few corridors. Camp the choke points and corridors. Again rocket spamming and camping. And even if your team makes it out of the tunnel, holding the flag after the tunnel is extremely hard, so people get pushed back to the tunnel once again.
Seine Crossing
Very hard to maneuver, 3 choke points. Cant even pop your head out by the river without getting a 1000 bullets flying by and missiles blowing up everything around you. Everything is tight and closed.
The other maps seems to flow better and be more fun and strategic. Maps like this makes me miss the good old maps of BF2 Kubra Dam, Karkand, Oman, Sharqi Penninsula, Mushtuur, Oman, Fushe.... Big and lots of squad play. I mean, plz, compare the size of OM, DP and SC with these BF2 maps...

Damavand Peak
point of this map is/was the base jumping (only really seen in the rush mode)
the thing your not seeing/getting is the small copter that is provided both sides, this is key
Seine Crossing
this map has more than 3 crossings, 2 bridges, and 2 water crossing areas(2 sets of stairs each side)
this map goes back and forth sometimes one side hold A+B+C and wins, sometimes one side holds A+B+D+E and wins.... lots of times they get traded around a lot.
C is strategic to winning only if you can hold off all invading forces, which is hard to do on this map
Operation Metro
while I like the look/idea of this map, I hate the area they picked for 64 man conquest....
WHY DID THEY NOT USE THE WHOLE MAP
If they did the players would have been spread out more and the choke points might've been passable under the right circumstances.-- Intentionally Left Blank --

I think if Metro had 5 flag points like one in the court yard, one in the beggining of the metro, on in the middle, and one at the end and then one outside the tunnel hole, then one more some where in the field it would work out pretty well!

Damavand would have been much better with flags B and D on top of the opposing sides of the hill, allowing the teams to cross the mountain on foot bypassing the slaughter-fest below. In fact, this would have been amazing map in my opinion.
Metro simply needs a street-level bypass that isn't as choke-pointy.
Seine tends to be a campers dream, with no team making much progress across the river. If there was a better way to swim across the river and get behind the enemy team, it would be better suited for 64-man. As it is, if you cross the river, you end up faced with 20 people looking at you as you climb up from the river.
IMHO, they could have combined Metro and Seine into one map.

Keep all the jet maps and we're good. AND I'm not just saying that for the jets, I'm saying it because the jet maps seem more open and bigger. All the non-jet maps are way to crumbled and squished.
