Thread: New to BF3 & TPG

Hello Folks,

Jumped into TS and the TPG server tonight briefly, and played with some regulars(whose names escape me at the moment) and enjoyed some excellent team games. Thank you for hosting both a TS3 server as well as a BF3 server. BTW, the TS server works amazingly, and that's how BF3 should be regularly implementing chat.

I'm new to TPG(found your servers initially on CS:S) and wanted to ask a few basic questions that I hope are not redundant:

What are some good ways to get involved in the community?

Are there any plans to expand to Rush games?

My friends here in Colorado don't play video games... As a result I generally end up battling it out in random servers with random people, with little to no organization. I see TPG as a way to play with other like minded players, but with all the players on the current BF3 TPG server do you suggest taking a look at all the resident clans here, or just friending people who play in the TPG server?

Some good ways to get involved with the community are to join a resident clan. You can also become an admin. Both options are pretty rewarding. The admin community is full of great people and the clans are, too!

We probably won't be expanding to Rush in the near future.

Welcome! I would say the best way to get involved in the community is to be around the community. Not only does that include being in the servers but browsing around the forums here too. That gives you a good sense of what we're all about and a great chance to get a nod to be an admin.

To get involved in the community spawn on your squad-leader and push the objective Also visit any one of the available boards and post in any topic of interest; they range from resident clans, to hardware discussions to all out political brawls (though some people stay away from that board!) We host quite a few other games too.

Rush is unlikely; 30 person maps and meat-grinder shoot 'em up action is not exactly what most TPG players want. Rush might work except it would so boot half the server whenever a rush map came on! I am no admin though, just a gregarious gamer.

Use TS and visit the forums and I guarantee you will make some gaming friends if your attitude towards teamplay is in keeping with what we do here.
