    Ok - Houston I have a problem!!!!

    The Origin application/service continues to "crash" or the process ends. There is no error message. There is no Event log entry.



    WTH

    "Have you unistalled/reinstalled?"

    Disabled UAC?

    Check

    Rebooted without any other service/processes other than MS services?

    Have you tried logging into origin first before you launch the game? I have had some problems if I try to launch BF3 without origin already launched and logged in.

    yes - it did it every time - never actually got BF3 installed

    I've rebooted again with all "everything" disabled and it is running currently (downloading the patch I guess). But it remains to be seen whether that will last once I boot normally again......

    Could there be some "overlay" issue with something that might be killing it?

    So - running things with nothing that might have an overlay or shell extension. Got the game installed. Played through the first mission of the campaign. Cut Scene for the second mission ends and I get dropped to desktop - but BF3 is still running. It's not Not Responding. Just can't get back to the game from desktop.

    End Task - try it again. Same issue.

    Yup Video driver is up to date.

    It is basically getting minimized between the movie ending and the "game" starting the next portion of the mission Uprising.
