Conquest advice = don't stay at one flag longer than you have too

Seriously, I hate being still for longer than necessary, if I am squad leading you'll know it because the only reason we'd stay at a flag for longer than 2 minutes would be because it needs cleared out.

Not only does this help the team immensely, it gets you a shit load of points.

Another thing to think about is vehicles. Which ones do you want to use/learn. I'd recommend staying away from jets unless you practice first. There are servers setup just for that purpose. Also, once you start really unlocking vehicle upgrades, you may have to switch them. It's the same place as your unlocks but press on the land or air tab (I didn't know this for weeks until someone pointed it out to me, duuhhhooo).

I'd recommend sticking with assault for awhile until you get the hang of the game. You can drop a med pack and heal yourself. I also think they carry the best weapons for most of the maps except they don't really have much for anti-vehicle.

The more kills you get with a weapon, the more upgrades you get for that specific weapon.

One last thing, not all upgrades are good upgrades or worth it depending on your fighting style and preferences...

    3. What are the best weapons to use (including set up) for the Assault Class at long range?
    f2000

    4. What are the best weapons to use (including set up) for the Engineer Class at close range?
Shotty of any kind, with the nurf to the usas not sure what the best one is. I still rock the g36c
    5. What are the best weapons to use (including set up) for the Engineer Class at medium range?
    g36c

    7. What are the best weapons to use (including set up) for the Support Class at close range?
    usas
    8. What are the best weapons to use (including set up) for the Support Class at medium range?
    pkp
    9. What are the best weapons to use (including set up) for the Support Class at long range?
    240b or m60

    10. What are the best weapons to use (including set up) for the Recon Class at long range?
m98b hands down best sniper rifle for anything

    11. I come from Counter Strike where bullets instantly reach their destination and there is no drop off. My understanding is that bullets don’t do that in BF3. What kind of adjustments do I need to make (aim higher, in front, how far, at what distance should I adjust)? lead your target, at range aim higher, the farther the distance the higher you have to aim

    12. In Counter Strike, we fire our weapons in burst or single shot at medium and long range. How should I be firing my weapons in BF3 (I’ve seen people spray at medium range, while accurately tracking the running target, and get kills)?
Foregrip is ftw !!! It would all depend on the weapon you have different weapons have different fireing rates, you will get used to your favorite guns and know what to do at that point.

    13. I usually play Rush Mode.
    a. What are some good tips when playing as the Assault Class in order to be valuable to my team? medic and res people after you kill the enemy. assault and m320 if you want to attack.
    b. What are some good tips when playing as the Engineer Class in order to be valuable to my team? spot guys, on maps that have vehicles lay mines, use your smaw or rpg as much as possible to keep the enemy down.
    c. What are some good tips when playing as the Support Class in order to be valuable to my team? always always always drop supply kits, too many people run and gun and never drop rounds.
    d. What are some good tips when playing as the Recon Class in order to be valuable to my team? spot targets, constantly spot targets. use the tug or the mav, but never just sit back at the spawn point and shoot...
    e. As a Defender, is it a legitimate strategy to play aggressively (while still defending objectives) in order to kill the enemy team and make them lose tickets since Defenders have an unlimited amount of lives, or is it better/safer to just hole up and defend objectives? Both I would have to say, you can play aggressively and still do your team good. But if you die your team also looses tickets.
    f. &nbspo vehicles spawn based on a set timer or some other factor? Because if that’s the case I would think that it’s better for the Offense to wait until they have all of their vehicles before making a push in order to minimize the loss of tickets. Vehicles are set on a timer once they die the timer starts for their respawn. It is better to have a tank on the battlefield than not to have it out there. Waiting is not such a good idea imo.
    g. On Bazaar, one of the first objectives is in a room with rugs or something in the corner that the defenders like to climb up on and camp prone. My experience is that teams have a really tough time taking that room (and even the sections prior to it). What’s the best way to take that room? lol, as a squad, team play is the only way to take anything and win, nades and rpgs/smaws can clear anything.
    h. On Bazaar, there’s a section of the map that is a very long and narrow hallway. The defenders just set up and spam the shit out of it. What’s the best way to take that hallway? same response as before.

    14. If I pick up a different gun/kit that makes me change classes, will I gain experience for my original class or for the new class that I have changed to? you will change your kit to what ever they had. This is a valuable thing for someone who is just coming into the game, most people have a lot of unlocks now. If they die pick their kit up and start shooting, you will find higher ranked weapons that you will prolly like a lot better.

    15. Let’s say I start off as an Engineer and place mines.
    a. If I die, do my mines disappear? after this next patch they will
    b. If I die and change classes, do my mines disappear? after next patch yes
    c. If I pick up a different gun/kit that makes me change classes, do my mines disappear? not if you do not die
    d. What is the maximum number of mines I can place before my old mines start disappearing? no limit currently I do not know if they addressed this in the patch though
