I used the following command though: renderer.drawfps 1
Thanks for sharing your success . Is that using a single card, a some working together?
Also, how is that card running BF3? (my angle is planning for my "smokin' rig in 2012).

Thanks to the guys in the PC Hardware and Technology forum, they helped me pull it together. I appreciate that a lot. I'm looking forward to loading up some other games where I couldn't max the graphics before.

I couldn't get the gamelock command to work. I'm sure I was likely using the wrong syntax. I don't know if the renderer command removes the cap. As best I have learned/read/seen it just displays the fps in the upper left hand corner. I turned it off by using 0 in place of 1.

I haven't used FRAPS before. I might give that a try to and see if there's any noticeable difference in the values it reports ... just curious to see if it does.

It is a single card: the XFX Radeon 6950 from NewEgg. I'm sure you'll be able to do much better in 2012!

The system runs without a hitch in BF3 ... I think the graphics are maxed out. I'll check the next time I am in BF3.
