Seriously, it's not hard to kill people at all. Personally I think hardcore gametypes are for people that can't aim.
The Battlefield games have never been about realism, they're about fun and balanced gameplay. If you want realism that's what ArmA and PR are for.
Plus, many of the BF3 maps are already way too cramped (Metro, etc...) and if you had even less health you wouldn't be able to push at all. It would be a bunch of instant deaths, definitely not fun.
I think right now TPG has the perfect balance of BF2 gameplay in BF3. And I woudn't want anything to change... well other then maybe getting rid of Metro?

This is like all other server side changes, a double sword. I get pissed when I switch to single shot and pop 3 rounds into somebody, yet they run it out and survive..... Sucks..... At the same time, what everyone else has said about aiming is true. Sometimes I do my single shot and by the time I am firing my 2nd or 3rd bullet I am getting kill points..... HS?
IMO the game shouldnt give u kills for 2 body shots.... depending on the weapon of course.... You can use CSS for an example. I think you can take 3ish body shots from the M4 and survive... I think.... Maybe try the 80% on a RUSH server that i really hope TPG is going to start..... I love RUSH.
Overall tho... I voted leave it because it is always good to have 1 vanilla server, and since we only have 1 and the game is new.... leave it!

The hell it benefits all players. The players that have the best reaction time, best ping and more experience with crush anyone of lesser standards. As it is its a challenge for a player like me to engage a player of your skill, reduce health and forget it, i will never get the upper hand on you or anyone at or near your level of skill. And its not just about me here, the average player, the weekend warrior or the new guy will be drastically affected by reducing health. There are servers out there that cater to what you request and they have a clientele that is drawn to that level of play with skilled experienced players. At least with full health it gives a newer or less than stellar player a chance to learn with and against the best, not get slaughtered repeatedly.
I had the same thought for BC2. I attempted to learn the game jumping right into hard core. Bad move, i hated it and stopped playing the game until we got a vanilla server. Im sure you or your compatriots in leetness wouldn't understand, but its no fun getting owned over and over by the same select few players and you don't even have a snowballs chance in hell of defending yourself. At least with vanilla, i could play long enough to improve as a player, even with guys like Major Brass, partyball, Remy and Gato on the opposing team. Once i learned the game, then hardcore was ok, even became my preferred mode. Im sure others have the same sentiment.
Lets at the very least consider giving BF3 some more time with the settings we have, its not to much to ask of those with "Look at how fucking leet i am" stats. And players like me, average Joe, will still get some level of enjoyment out of the game rather than spawn and die, which happens often enough at business end of your weapons as it is.Viktor_Olin liked this post
