MEDIC !!
hmmm i c..... well thanks for the help.. my old card was like an integrated card that used system memory for graphics... it was also an Nvidia... You are right tho... the guy who put the card and drivers in didn't uninstall the old drivers. That could be causing my problems.. but also.. i was looking around the steam support forums to find this about my card....http://support.steampowered.com/cgi-...i=&p_topview=1 lmfao its a huge link but if you read into it well you will see that they say that a crash can happen with Nvidia cards that can be fixed with the beta drivers from nvidia which they provide a link for... Last time i did any driver intalling lets just say this comp disappeared for quite some time lol... So if i do actually do any of the work myself i might need some tips lol.. o ya Gumby.. uhh about the chipset drivers... where would i get those? would they just come built into the video driver?

Ok a few things you could try ... These are all different things you can try.
1) Reinstall same driver you are using (will fix corrupted files)
2)Run dxdiag from a windows comand prompt then do all of the diagonistict tests if they fail anywhere
or give you an error message then try to download DX 9.0C from Microsofts website
3) Uninstall your Viedo Card Drivers and restart computer...this will load windows default drivers.
Then install the drivers that came with your card (the CD), after installing from CD then go to the web and get the
latest updated driver for your computer and update your drivers to the latest and greatest
4) Try that beta driver
5) Take a hammer and beat the hell out of it if it still ain't working.

ok..so far i ran the Dxdiag.. no problems found.... I uninstalled the display drivers, then reinstalled the ones which came with the card's CD. No luck.. instead of the source games just having a bigcrash at once, it would have mini crashes every second lol ( think of it as playing DoD S with 783 ping) so now i updated to the newest driver. Basically.. now im back to where i started.... Now im goin to try that beta driver mentioned but i don't like how the beta driver is so heavily outdated... its going from version 91.31 to 78.05 lmao but if it works well.. can't really complain

( takes hammer and beats the hell out of comp as directed by WMD ) well the beta driver caused 2 major system errors and everytime i wanted to launch a game well lets just say i found another way to restart my computer! I JUST HAVE TO LAUNCH A GAME AND WEEEE !!! RESTART TIME !!!!! So im about to smash a lot of things and the dam tech support for the card is by far the worst.. i must have been on hold for at least 50 minutes and thats when i just gave up lol so anyways, guess I aint going to be on DoD for a while... Screw it.. if it crashes ill just restart
