Hmmm, we host BF3, that has no in game VoIP, and we have usually 10+ people, including some high admins and many other admins and mods, playing every night. Yeah, I see what you did there. Not pointing the finger at you Scott, just saying it doesn't sound logical.

Re: Server?
:/ well perhaps (like BC2/VOIP and BF3/VOIP) we look at ways to bend the model to a degree provided the other tools are acceptable. Because as it stands, I see a lot of TPG buzz about it. I read about quite a few TPG regs playing it...and since we're a "slow-growth" group those regs playing DayZ elsewhere are regs that aren't playing here since we have no place for them to play.
Does that make sense?
It's based on the ArmA II engine. There should be some tools out there for it I would assume. No?
I just think that seeing (or hearing/reading) about DayZ cannibalizing other TPG hosted game populations, BF3 for example, that it would be in our collective interest to ensure that we retain those players on the "property" so to speak.
I can't think of too many games with buzz in the future that "fit" our model.

Re: Server?
I understand, its cool. Its just that we would have very little control over what we can ban for, and what kind of server behavior is acceptable... even hacking if i understand right.
Unfortunately, i have no experience with Arma2 admin tools, so can only base my conclusions off posts by the dev team and current server admins on the DayZ forums.
Would i love to see a TPG DayZ server? Absolutely, but the impression that i got thus far is that is was not warmly greeted by the powers that be. And besides, the game is basically in beta, i know they say its alpha but lets be realistic, the framework is there, but its not quite a finished product. Im more interested to see that and perhaps think about investing in that rather than the current unfinished state that DayZ is in.

Reading the DayZ Forums Every hacker leaves a trail in the Logs. It's a matter of sifting through the logs to find the signs. Or the blatant. I believe banning per Server is okay. How it used to be was, the Dev crew were the only ones who could ban, as a ban on one server meant bans on all servers. With how TPG runs the banning/Unbanning process, It could be a lighthouse in rough waters on a busy channel.
